Comments

Thanks to some pinheads who feel it necessary to spam my comment boxes with the equivalent of junk mail (although perhaps even less desired), I have added a word verification tool for comments. This is pretty innocuous for a human, but hopefully makes it harder for the spambots. Still, I apologize for the inconvenience.

I have removed the offending comments, and it is my hope that the word verification tool will prevent this problem in the future.

I suspect it was based upon some automatic search of keywords. My earlier post about my experience with the slot machines in the Reno airport was probably the trigger, since the spambot posts were links to an online casino site (and a supposed review singing the praises of the site after going to see... /eyeroll). It wouldn't have bothered me too much if the comments were just added to that post, but it went through and added the same two comments to every single post in my blog.
